A midnight fire on Tuesday gutted some parts of the house of a popular Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo, well known as Sunday Igboho, which may have been caused by suspected arsonists.

The house was razed in the early hours of Tuesday, around 3am and the building is located in the Soka area of Oyo State.

Igboho has been in the news for calling for the eviction of Fulani herdsmen in Yorubaland. He argues that the herdsmen have carried out so many nefarious activities in Yorubaland and need to leave if they fail to desist.
