Hajia Dada Yar’adua, mother of former Nigerian President, Umaru Musa Yar’adua, is dead.
She was also the mother of a Nigerian army General and politician, late Shehu Musa Yar’Adua GCON who was the Chief of Staff, Supreme Headquarters, a de facto vice president of Nigeria from 1976 to 1979; and Senator Abdulaziz Musa Yar’adua, the current Chairman, Senate Committee on Army.
Reports coming in, have it that she died at the Federal Teaching Hospital, Katsina, Nigeria, on Monday evening after a brief illness.
She was said to have died at the age of 102.
Burial arrangement for the late Hajia Dada will be announced later by the family.
