Canada might be one of the most longed for countries for international students, but unfortunately, studying there doesn’t come cheap. For those eager to study in Canada but in need of financial support, we’ve gathered together a selection of scholarships for international students, provided by the Canadian government, individual Canadian universities, and other organizations.

Below is a list of scholarships available in Canada:

1. Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarship

The Canadian Government has launched the Vanier Canada Graduate Scholarships (Vanier CGS) and to be considered for the Vanier Scholarship, you need to demonstrate leadership skills and a high standard of academic achievement in Masters’ programs in Engineering, Natural Sciences, Health, Social Sciences or Humanities.

2. Banting Postdoctoral Fellowships

Canadian government scholarships and fellowships offered to international students undertaking postgraduate study within the natural and social sciences or health research.

3. Quest University International Scholarships in Canada, 2018

Applications are currently ongoing for the Quest University International Scholarships Canada. The Scholarship also known as David Strangway Award for Excellence provides full tuition for four years to Students pursuing their Undergraduate Degree in the University.

4. Canada Graduate Scholarships

Master’s Program – Scholarships for Canadian students enrolled on a master’s degree or PhD at a (CGS-M allocated) university in Canada.

5. African Leaders of Tomorrow Masters Scholarship for Africans to Study in Canada, 2018

The Canadian Bureau for International Education (CBIE) invites applications for the African Leaders of Tomorrow (ALT) Scholarship . This Program is open to citizen AND resident of sub-Saharan Africa for 2018 academic year.

6. IDRC Research Awards

Canadian government scholarships for students from developing countries to undertake a master’s or doctoral-level research degree at a recognized Canadian university.

7. NSERC Postgraduate scholarships

Various Canadian government scholarships, grants and awards available to outstanding students undertaking study in the natural sciences or engineering at an accredited Canadian university. Funded by the NSERC.

8. Organization of American States (OAS) Academic Scholarship Program

Canadian government scholarships from the Organization of American States (OAS), open to graduate students from any OAS member state (including selected countries in Latin America and the Caribbean islands).
