Multiple award winning Nigerian On Air Personality (OAP), video jockey, television presenter, actress and catering exec., Laura Monyeazo Abebe, popularly known as Moet Abebe, has disclosed her reason for still being single at her age.
The 34-year-old presenter provided the reason while on a podcast hosted by her and reality TV star, Tolani Baj.
The podcast – Bahd and Boujee, had Nigerian actor and film director, Daniel Etim Effiong, as a guest.
Earlier in June 2023, Moet who has consistently been in the news recently, shared her experience of enduring an “abusive” relationship with her ex-fiance for approximately two and a half years.
The video jockey in October 2023, stated that she cannot date men who live on the mainland in Lagos.
“I feel like if I call you at 11 pm, you will probably give me some story like it is too late, there are police on the street, I cannot come,” she said, to back up her reason.
Earlier in 2021, she expressed her unconcern about marriage, describing it as a “fraud”.
According to Moet, the reason why she has remained single is because “most men do not have sense”.
She gave this response when Effiong, who had known her since he was single six years ago asked her why she was still single and on the street.
“You already know my reservations. I am tired of saying this every episode.
“Your gender needs to do more. My issue with men is that they do not have sense.
“How about men stop dipping their fingers in so many pots?
“Because you are making me confused. That means I equally have options.
“I am choosing to be single but even if I wanted to be in a relationship, the options are not so great,” she said.
