Evangelist Timothy Ofoegbu, who said he is a Catholic, has shared one of the Christian doctrines that has been in existence from the beginning of earth or creation among Christian believers.

The doctrine he has tried to share here is about eating on Good Friday, the day Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross. He stated that generally, Catholics must not eat meat on Good Friday.

He said that before 1966, Christians especially were not eating meat at all every Friday. It was revised and abstinence from eating meat by Christians was reduced to Good Friday only which is the day Jesus Christ was crucified.

The day Jesus Christ was crucified on the cross ought to be a day of sober in one’s mood, to identify with Jesus who came to redeem the world and was brutally killed.

We even think it is not meat alone that Christians, especially Catholics, must not eat on Good Friday, it is anything that has blood which should include fish and other eatable species that has blood running in its body.
