What we want now is Yoruba nation —Sunday Igboho

Yoruba Youths Leader (YYL) and rights activist, Mr. Sunday Adeyemo, popularly known as Sunday Igboho, has declared his support for the establishment of the Yoruba nation.

Speaking in a viral video, Igboho, who gained prominence following an ultimatum he issued to criminal herdsmen in the Southwest, expressed the determination to defend Yoruba land.

Igboho said: “Starting from now, we don’t want herdsmen in our land to disturb our farms again. If we meet any killer herdsmen, we are going to face and destroy them.

“If any police attack us for that, we are ready for them. We don’t want Nigeria again but the Yoruba nation. There is no essence for one Nigeria when the major resources in the country are in the hands of the northerners.

“Enough is enough. There is no going back… We are not scared of anybody. These killer herders are taking over our land and they are killing our people,” he said.

The activist said his determination is backed by monarchs, elders and opinion leaders in the Southwest.

Igboho also slammed the Nigerian Government for sidelining the Yoruba ethnic group in terms of appointments even on Yoruba land.

He said all the ports – air, land and sea on Yorubaland are presently being headed by the Fulanis.
