Mama, Mrs. Olubisi Osinbajo, the mother of the Vice President of Nigeria, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo turned 90 on Thursday, February 16, and the day was marked with a church service laced with singing, prayers, musical performances and biblical ministrations.
Many Nigerians graced the event, especially members of the church family, top government functionaries and other dignitaries.
They include the Speaker of the House of Representatives, Hon. Femi Gbajabiamila and his wife, Salamatu Gbajabiamila, who represented First Lady, Aisha Buhari; Governors Babajide Sanwo-Olu of Lagos State, and Dapo Abiodun of Ogun State, while Mr. Lucky Ayedatiwa the Deputy Governor of Ondo State represented the State Governor Rotimi Akeredolu and several former governors including Senator Rochas Okorocha of Imo; Chief Olusegun Osoba and Mr. Ibikunle Amosun, both of Ogun State; Rotimi Ameachi of Rivers State and Abdulaziz Yari of Zamfara State.
President of the African Development Bank, Dr. Akinwumi Adesina; Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr. Boss Mustapha; and several Ministers were also at the event. Chairman of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote and businessman and philanthropist, Mr. Femi Otedola were present. There were also representatives of State Governments and senior government officials.
Born to Thomas and Victoria Aiyegbayo on February 16 1933, Mrs. Olubisi Osinbajo served as a teacher at the girls’ college in Sagamu in the early 1950s.
Married to Mr. Opeoluwa Osinbajo in 1954, she is the mother of five children namely Femi Osinbajo, (born July 29, 1955), Yemi Osinbajo (born March 8, 1957) Akin Osinbajo (born 1960) and Tunde Osinbajo (born 1962) and Tolu Osinbajo (born 1970).
And her son, the Vice President, Prof. Yemi Osinbajo took to his Instagram page to celebrate her.
