19-year-old Central Michigan University sophomore named James Eric Davis, Jr. allegedly killed his parents in his fourth floor dorm room when they arrived to pick him up from school for spring break on Friday morning March 2. He left the school premises after the shooting and hasn’t been seen since then.
According to The Free Press report, police had taken Davis to a hospital for a psych evaluation, two nights before the shooting. Davis was released from the hospital Thursday morning and he killed his parents on Friday morning.
Central Michigan University was on lockdown after the shooting. Police and other law enforcement agencies are searching for Davis, who is armed and considered dangerous.
Davis is described as a black male, 5-feet-10 and 135 pounds.
