Young woman brutally murdered alongside Chop Boii in Abuja identified as UNICROSS student, Blessing Udie

One of the four persons brutally murdered in Abuja has been identified as Blessing Kona Udie, a 400-level Microbiology student of the University of Cross River State (UNICROSS), Calabar, Nigeria.

The undergraduate and three others including a musician, Anpe Pankyes, better known by his stage name, Chop Boii, were hacked to death by unknown assailants in a residence in Gwarimpa area of Abuja, the nation’s capital on Tuesday, September 27, 2022.

Blessing was said to have been in the wrong place at the wrong time when she accompanied her friends to an apartment housing a mini music studio for production.

The deceased is said to be girlfriend of Chop Boii’s producer.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson of the FCT Police Command, DSP Josephine Adeh, said the police have since launched an investigation into the incident.

Meanwhile, friends, coursemates and family members have taken to Facebook to mourn the young lady.
