  1. Homicide in the first degree, with the perpetrator having a supposed ‘psychiatric’ illness. Whatever this may mean requires a specialist review, to investigate, interview and interrogate the perpetrator’s mental state prior to, during and post-commission of such crime, any history of aggression, violence of threat. This cannot be precluded as a ‘money-ritual’ killing. The antecedents and inter-personal interactions of the offender should be explored to know whether such ideas were fed into him. Yes, a psychotic individual can turn psychopathic if prescribed interventions such as drugs regimen were not complied with. There’s so much complexity in this matter to be unravelled because, it is quite uncommon for a psychiatric patient to murder his mother – the closest to him cognitively.
