Two burnt to death in Imo state over robbery allegation (graphic photos)

Two men were reportedly burnt alive in Mbaise, Imo state, for allegedly robbing in the neighbourhood.

Photos and videos shared online show the men being brutalized before tyres were placed on them and they were burnt alive.

The incident reportedly occurred on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, in Aboh Mbaise.

Nigerians reacted to the extremely graphic video by condemning jungle justice.

NOTE: No discerning person should support armed robbery or any other crime in any society. Even if the suspects are caught in the act, the normal thing to do in the circumstance is to hand them over to the law enforcement operatives to deal with them according to civilized law.
The disturbing aspect of the scenario seen in the above photos is that, it only occurs among poor people where the value of items allegedly stolen are often not significant.
It is horrifying to see that most jungle justice acts are unleashed and based on rumour. In that type of situation, many of those suspects may be innocent of the crimes they are accused of.
Jungle justice should stop in Nigeria.
