Some hoodlums on Wednesday stormed the Nigerian Senate chamber and made away with the mace.
The plenary was disrupted while the sergeants-at-arms struggled with the men to retrieve the mace.
This development happened as the Deputy Senate president, Ike Ekweremadu was presiding over the plenary in the absence of the Senate President, Senator Abubakar Bukola Saraki who is currently at the World Bank event in the United States.
