Three young siblings (sisters) have drowned in a river at Amaeze in Ishiagu, Ivo Local Government Area of Ebonyi State, Nigeria.
The three siblings whose names were withheld got drowned mysteriously on Saturday after they left home to the river but never returned alive.
Their bodies were found floating on the water while the circumstances surrounding their deaths remained unknown.
The three sisters who, reports say, attended Comprehensive Secondary School in Ishiagu, were found already dead on the water, but what led to their deaths is yet to be uncovered. The siblings have reportedly been buried beside the stream without caskets, as culture and tradition demand.
The Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Ivo Divisional Police Post, Mr. Nwornu Daniel who confirmed the incident said it was a case of sudden and unnatural death.
