Justice Stanley Nnaji has been identified as the man pulled out from his SUV and shot dead on Sunday evening in Enugu State, Nigeria.
The former Enugu State High Court judge was shot multiple times beside the Enugu Diagnostics Centre, by Ebeano Tunnel, after he was dragged out of his Mercedes Benz Jeep. The shooters then drove off in Nnaji’s car.
A statement by the spokesperson of the Enugu State Police Command, Daniel Ndukwe, stated that the victim was rushed to the hospital, where he was confirmed dead by doctors on duty and deposited in the mortuary for autopsy.
The Commissioner of Police, Enugu State Command, Mohammed Ndatsu Aliyu, has ordered a full-scale manhunt for the gunmen.
