Marcy Borders was famously photographed covered in ash pulverized concrete as she fled the World Trade Center attack on September 11, 2001. She became known as the ‘dust lady’ and for many years shared her experience on surviving the terror attack on the United States. Unfortunately she has now died.
Marcy succumbed to stomach cancer on Monday August 24. She was just 42. In an interview in November 2014, while she battled with the disease, Marcy said she believed the cancer was caused from the dust of the Twin Towers that she inhaled. She had only worked at the Bank of America for one month and was late for work on the day of the terror attack, saving her life. May her soul rest in peace, amen. (Source: LIB.
