The Confederation of All India Traders (CAIT) has called for WhatsApp to be banned following its new policy .
According to the new privacy policy updated by WhatsApp, “all kinds of personal data, payment transactions, contacts, location and other vital information of a person who is using WhatsApp will be acquired by it and can be used for any purpose by WhatsApp”.
CAIT has demanded that “the government should immediately restrict WhatsApp from implementing the new policy or put a ban on WhatsApp and its parent company Facebook”, the traders’ body stated.
The new privacy policy has caused outrage, as many WhatsApp users threatens to leave the app over its new policy.
However, the WhatsApp trended on social media on Sunday, as rival app, Telegram Messenger took to its Twitter handle to mock WhatsApp.

Well, I'm sure this one isn't going to be the last. But we've got plenty of nails.
