The founder of the Synagogue Church of All Nations, Prophet T.B. Joshua appears to no longer rely on the potency of his spirituality and power as he headed to the Lagos High Court at Ikeja asking it to stop proceedings of the coroner inquest set up by the Lagos state govt to look into the circumstances that led to his church building’s collapse on Sept. 12 killing 116 people.
T.B Joshua, who filed the appeal through his counsel, Olalekan, Ojo, also asked the court to declare that his invitation to appear as a witness before the coroner court was a breach of his right to fair hearing, as no case had been established against him before it.
Joshua, who was supposed to appear before the coroner court yesterday, through his counsel, asked the coroner to suspend proceedings pending the outcome of the case he just filed against it which is to be called up for hearing on December 3.
Prophet Joshua has joined the likes of Fred Ajudua and Al Mustapha, former chief security officer to Gen Sani Abacha to retain the services of Olalekan Ojo of counsel.
The coroner Magistrate O.A. Komolafe however declined his request saying no one had served him court document to that effect.
