Nigerian Super Falcons and Barcelona women star, Asisat Oshoala has been named 2019 Women’s African Best Player by CAF.
It was gathered that Asisat was absent at the award ceremony, so, her award was received on her behalf by the Nigerian Football Federation president, Amaju Pinnick.
The Super Falcons striker took to her social media page immediately to react.
The forward wrote on her Twitter handle:
“Grateful to be African Women’s Player of the year for the 4th time”
“Thank God, my Family, Friends and Fans for the support. Big shoutout to my club , my management , team mates at both national team and club level and of course thanks to @CAF_Online for the opportunity.”
Oshoala has now won this award four times equaling the record for the most wins which was held by Nigerian legend, Perpetua Nkwocha.
