Nigerian Super Eagles won their second Group A match against Cote d’Ivoire with a lone goal.
The Eagles were awarded a penalty in the 54th minute after Victor Osimhen was brought down in the Ivorian defence box.
Defender William Troost-Ekong converted the spot kick to earn the Eagles three points.
Super Eagles improved on a poor opening result in the tournament, putting the pressure on the Ivorians ahead of the final round of Group A games.
The Elephants were again without injured striker, Sebastien Haller in their team after he missed their win over Guinea-Bissau.
