Preparatory for President Muhammadu Buhari’s arrival today from his prolonged medical vacation in London, UK, the Presidential Villa in Abuja has suddenly come alive with all the security vehicles and personnel who usually serve in the convoy of the President on standby.

Reports coming in have it that other itinerary staff in the Presidency are also on standby, expecting to proceed to the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport, any moment from now to receive the President.

Buhari, who is said to be airborne at the moment, is expected to make a national broadcast to Nigerians by 7am on Monday, August 21, 2017.

He left the shores of Nigeria for further medical care on May 7, 2017, after receiving 82 Chibok school girls abducted by the Boko Haram sect in 2014. His Vice, Yemi Osinbajo, has been in charge of state affairs since then.

Buhari’s absence for over 100 days sparked off protests both in Nigeria and abroad, with the protesters asking for his resumption or resignation.
