A high-powered presidential delegation visited the palace of the Emir of Kano, Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, to seek marriage for President Buhari’s son, Yusuf.
Governor of Jigawa State, Abubakar Badaru, led the delegation to the palace on Sunday, June 27, alongside other governors and top government official including the Attorney-General and the Minister of Justice, Abubakar Malami SAN.
Yusuf Buhari is currently engaged to Zahra Bayero, the 19-year-old daughter of the Emir of Bichi, Kano State, Alhaji Dr. Nasir Bayero.
Yusuf and Zahra Nasir met in the University of Surrey, United Kingdom where Zahra is undergoing her degree in Architecture. The wedding will reportedly hold between August and September 2021.
Other personalities representing the first family include the Borno State Governor, Umaru Zulum, Sen A . Amosun, former Zamfara Governor, Abdulaziz Yari, DGss Y. Bichi, Prof Abdullahi Abba, Mal Ahmed, Sen. Ali Modu Sherrif, Sen. U Tanko Al-Makura, among others.
Zarah’s mother, Farida Imam, is the daughter of famous Kano educationist, Mal Abubakar Imam (Imamu Galandanci), a former Executive Director at Afribank Plc.
