Lekki Shootings: SW Gov And Ministers Visit Lagos To Commiserate With Sanwo-olu

Some governors and ministers who are indigenes of Southwest, visited the Lagos State Governor, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, to assess the destruction of public and private facilities in the state on Sunday.

The Punch reports that those present are Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State, Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti State and Governor Seyi Makinde of Oyo State.

Also in the visit are Minister of  Interior, Rauf Aregbesola; Minister of Power and Housing, Babatunde Fashola; Minister of State for Health, Olorunmibe Mamora and Minister of Industry, Trade, and Investment, Niyi Adebayo; Minister of Youth and Sports Development, Sunday Dare and Minister of Mines and Steel, Olamilekan Adebite.

The governor took his visitors on a tour of some of the facilities set on fire. Government-owned and private assets affected include Orile Divisional Police Headquarters, Ajah Divisional headquarters, Amukoko Police Station on Cemetery Road, Lagos State Public Works Corporation in Ojodu, Lagos Island LGA Secretariat, City Hall, Nigeria Port Authority building at Marina, Lagos State DNA and Forensic Centre at CMS, Vehicle Inspection Service headquarters at Ojodu and Toll Plazas at Lekki and Ikoyi Link Bridge, among others.
