When we started this journey more than 1 year ago, a lot of you wondered if solar works. Some asked if solar is as bright as NEPA. (It is brighter, we produce between 219 and 221 volts Nepa produces between 197 and 204). Does it pump water. Yes it does. Can it power an AC. Yes it can.
We see solar in many American cities and we know that it works. When the same technology is transferred to Nigeria doubts creep in. Those doubts are justified based on visual and first hand experience. Many solar street lights in many communities have failed. There are other communities that have enjoyed success with solar but they refuse to share or have come to take it for granted.
We returned from Nigeria 2 days ago after a very successful month in Nigeria. We made sales in Nigeria for the first time and we installed one of the new customers during our visit.
Our customers who had systems installed earlier this year got the free upgrade to our new high power low frequency system. They can now pump water with as little as 2 kw. The customer with the high frequency inverter in Lagos is still enjoying the installation we did for him in June. The system has performed better than he expected it to.
The Christmas season is around the corner and we are expecting a huge demand from people who are excited at the prospect of enjoying 24 hour electricity with no noise, no fuel and no smoke. Enjoying the same peace and tranquility you enjoy in the West in your Country home is priceless. I enjoyed it in the village, I enjoyed it in Lagos. Having power 24 hours a day, having the fan on all night, having your refrigerator on 24 hours a day. using a microwave, ironing your clothes. These are all things we take for granted in the West. It is something I did with regularity.
*We Can only do 10 installations between now and Christmas* We have taken orders for 4 already.
