Very many armed policemen have stormed the Maitama, Abuja residence of a member of the National Assembly representing Kogi West, Senator Dino Melaye, according to Thisday.
The invasion of the residence of the Senator representing Kogi West located at 11 Sangha street, off Mississippi, Maitama, took place some minutes after 1.00pm on Friday.
Around 2.00pm, Sangha street where his house is located was tightly cordoned off by security operatives .
The policemen were making frantic efforts to gain entrance into the one-storey building where the Senator was holed up. The reason for the occupation by security operatives could not be ascertained yet.
It may be recalled that around Christmas time, the embattled Senator cried out that the Inspector General of Police had ordered his arrest.
