The governor of Cross River state, Benedict Bengioushuye Ayade, easily called Ben Ayade was in the farm on May 7. According to him, he was at the land preparation site for the state’s demonstration farm at the industrial park in Calabar, Nigeria.
Governor Ayade was in that farm with his entourage and perhaps the farm workers. There and then, an animal called Monitor Lizard was very unlucky to be sighted and it was killed either by the governor himself, or by members of his entourage or by the farm workers.
The Governor posted his photos holding the Monitor Lizard on his official twitter handle and wrote:
“Earlier today at the land preparation site for our demonstration farm at the industrial park in calabar”
