Chairman of the Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption (PACAC), Prof. Itse Sagay responded to calls by Nigerians for the Minister of Finance, Mrs. Kemi Adeosun, to respond to the allegations that she forged her NYSC discharge certificate.
According to Sagay, Adeosun’s expertise is very important to this administration and that she cannot be allowed to go just because of NYSC certificate.
In reaction, public commentator, Mr. Kayode Ogundamisi has described Itse Sagay’s comment as a ‘very big dissapointment’.
In his words: “I acknowledge Professor Itse Sagay’s positive contribution to Nigeria and especially our legal system is enormous, however his comments is a big disappointment. A very big one at that.
“I respectfully submit that Prof Itse Sagay SAN is being smatter by half by trying to link the allegation of forgery against Kemi Adeosun to her performance as Minister, they are not the same. If we all FALSIFY our way to public office then Nigeria is DOOMED.”

Professor Itse Sagay heads a very important anti-corruption platform titled Presidential Advisory Committee Against Corruption. @PremiumTimesng did not question @HMKemiAdeosun competence, the issue at hand is about allegedly FORGING an official document of a government agency.
Since news of the forgery broke. @HMKemiAdeosun refuse to admit or deny allegations by @PremiumTimesng @nysc_ng in over a month is unable to confirm authenticity or otherwise of Adeosuns’s NYSC certificate. Prof Itse Sagay should be irked as an anti-corruption about the silence
The burden of proof is on the one who asserts but @HMKemiAdeosun cannot rely on onus probandi, the least she can do is to DENY the allegations. I am not a public official, when people make allegations I either DENY or ACKNOWLDGE same. It is a MORAL BURDEN blighting @MBuhari govt
If it is going to take over a month, still counting 4 @nysc_ng to confirm authenticity or otherwise of a certificate presented by a Nigerian Minister, how long will it take them if the query was about a Nigerian who is not in position of power. The @HMKemiAdeosun scandal STINKS
