Thomas Eric Duncan, the Liberian visiting the United States recently tested positive to Ebola. Duncan was treated at a US hospital in Dallas but died of the virus after spending a few days in the hospital.
Immediately Duncan was discovered to have contracted the dreaded disease, his family members and friends who were suspected to have had contact with him were confined so as not to spread the disease.
Whoever contracts Ebola virus would show the symptoms within 21 days. Whoever is being suspected of contracting the disease and does not show the signs would be declared clean of the virus after the 21 days.
None of Duncan’s family members that were around him when he was sick inside an apartment has shown any signs of the disease. They may therefore be declared free of Ebola virus any time from now.
