Chairman of the House of Representatives Committee on Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC), Mr Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, has recused himself from the ongoing investigation of the commission.
Prof. Kemebradikumo Pondei, Acting Managing Director of the NDDC had led the Interim Management Committee of the commission, last week, to request that Tunji-Ojo should not preside over the probe as he had also been accused of “crime” against the commission.
Pondei and other top officials of the NDDC even staged a walkout on the panel on Thursday.
Recall that members of the House of Representatives Committee on the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) issued a warrant of arrest against the acting Managing Director of the Interim Management Committee (IMC) of the NDDC, Professor Kemebradikumo Pondei, for walking out on them.
