Comrade Shehu Sani, former senator who represented Kaduna Central at the National Assembly, said the rainfall that “dispersed” Yoruba Nation agitators on Saturday from the venue of their rally at Osogbo, the Osun State capital, is a ‘divine message’ for them to change their minds and embrace a united Nigeria.

This platform had earlier reported that popular Yoruba rights activist, Sunday Adeyemo also known as Sunday Igboho, joined other agitators to demand Yoruba Nation on Saturday.

Reporters observed that rain began to fall as soon as Igboho stepped down from the podium, thus, ‘dispersing’ the Yoruba Nation agitators.

And reacting in a tweet, comrade Sani wrote: “The heavy rainfall that dispersed the separatist agitators in Osogbo is a divine message for them to change cause and work for the unity of our country. The idea of an ethnic or religious purist state stems from a xenophobic mind intolerant to co-existence.”

  1. In Yorubaland, rainfall is said to bring divine blessings. May be Shehu Sani’s interpretation of the rainfall is that of the oppressor whereas the rain was a divine blessing for Oodua Nation idea. May be.

  2. Nigeria,
    Is not a Workable Union

In most cases, those in control in Power struggles, never wants to release grip on Their Shakky hold, until forced to release their grip
