Prince Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye emerges as Olowo-elect

Prince Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye has emerged as the Olowo designate (Olowo-elect) out of the 18 Princes who contested.

In an election conducted by officials of Owo Local Government Area of Ondo State, Ogunoye got 14 votes out of the 15 votes cast by the 15 senior Omolowos, who have the sole responsibility to elect a new king for the ancient town.

Ajibade Gbadegesin Ogunoye is from Ogunoye ruling house of the town.

Prior to his election, Prince Ogunoye was a Director in the Ondo State Civil Service.

Appreciating his election, the Olowo-elect said he was elated for being chosen.
