Prof. Kevin Etta, former Vice Chancellor of the University of Calabar, on Friday, said infrastructure development under President Goodluck Jonathan’s administration was unprecedented.
Etta made the commendation in Calabar during an interactive session with newsmen.
He said such developments were visible in the aviation, agriculture, health, transport sectors, among others.
He added that “under the present administration, our railway system is back on track; our farmers can now access fertiliser and agricultural facilities to improve their produce.
“Our airports have been re-modeled into international standard, this is commendable and we need to sustain that development.
“President Goodluck Jonathan has performed well; he has the capacity to attract international investors into the country.”
According to him, there is the need to re-elect Jonathan in order to sustain the present economic development of the country.
Etta described Jonathan as a noble and gentle man who had been working tirelessly to achieve his transformation agenda in spite of the state of insecurity in some parts of the country.
He advised youths to shun all forms of violence, before, during and after the elections.
He appealed to those yet to collect their Permanent Voter Cards to do so, saying it was the only tool that would be used to re-elect Jonathan for a second term. (NAN).
