An Assistant Commissioner of Police, ACP Atiku Nagodi has died in Kano State, Nigeria.
It was gathered that Nagodi, 54, who was the squadron commander, 9 police mobile force, Kano, died on Monday, May 4, after a protracted illness at his residence.
Kano Police Public Relations Officer, DSP Abdullahi Haruna Kiyawa confirmed Nagodi’s death and further revealed that funeral prayers were observed at the residence of the deceased on BUK road and he was buried later in the day.
While some claimed Nagodi is the latest victim of the strange deaths recorded in Kano in the last three weeks, Kiyawa maintained that “he did not die of coronavirus he died after protracted illness”.
The late MOPOL Commander is survived by a wife and children.
