The Department of State Services (DSS) on Monday, December 23rd arraigned Alfa Babatunde, general overseer of Sotitobire Miracle Center, Akure, Ondo state, before a magistrate’s court on two counts of felony and kidnap.
Babatunde was arraigned alongside six others identified as, Omodara Olayinka, Margaret Oyebola, Grace Ogunjobi, Egunjobi Motunrayo, Esther Kayode and Peter Anjorin.
The Akure Prophet who was arraigned alongside six others over the one-year-old boy, Gold Kolawole, who went missing in his church, will be in prison custody as ordered by the court until January 14 which is the next adjourned date.
It was learnt that one of the suspects, M. Anjorin was accused of destroying and secretly taking away vital evidence that could have aided speedy investigation in respect of the missing boy, an offence contrary to and punishable under Section 123 of the Criminal Code and Cap 37 Laws of Ondo State
The mother of the child had dropped him at the creche section of the church but the boy went missing before the end of the programme and has not been found till date.
