Nigeria’s Acting President, Professor Yemi Osinbajo, has been scheduled to finally sign the 2017 Budget after months of delay.
A tweet on Monday morning, June 12, via the official handle of the Senate President:, Dr. Bukola Saraki, revealed that “Osinbajo has been scheduled to sign the 2017 budget and will be joined by Senate President, Bukola Saraki at the Aso Rock Villa by 3:00 p.m.”
The absence of President Muhammadu Buhari, who is on medical treatment in London, has for months stalled the signing of the Bill, with conflicting reports on whether the Acting President would sign it or leave it for Buhari to sign whenever he returns.
