
Nigerian Vice President, Prof Yemi Osinbajo, on Wednesday April 7, decorated the Deputy Inspector-General of Police, Usman Alkali Baba, as the acting Inspector-General of Police. The event took place at the State House, Abuja.
President Buhari, through his Minister of Police Affairs, Mohammad Dingyadi, had on Tuesday April 6, appointed Usman as the next Nigeria’s Police Inspector General. He takes over from Mohammed Adamu.
Born in 1963, Usman, an alumnus of Bayero University, Kano, and the University of Maiduguri, joined the Nigeria Police Force in 1988. He is an indigene of Yobe state.
