Embattled National Chairman of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC), comrade Adams Oshiomhole, failed to resume at his office on Friday despite an order by a Federal High Court in Kano which purportedly set aside a ruling of the FCT High Court stopping him from parading himself as the party’s chairman.

Justice Lewis Allagoa on Thursday ordered the police and Department of State Service (DSS) to provide security for Oshiomhole to resume in his office.

On Wednesday, Justice Danlami Senchi, had granted an order of injunction stopping Oshiomhole from parading himself as the APC National Chairman.

Based on the ruling of the Kano court, some party officials had said Oshiomhole will resume his duties on Friday but that did not happen as he was nowhere to be found.

Our correspondent gathered that some aides of Oshiomhole who attempted to test the waters by resuming at the party secretariat were turned back by stern-looking security agencies who were stationed at the Blantyre street where the party’s headquarters is located.

According to Daily Independent, a member of the National Working Committee (NWC) of APC who spoke on condition of anonymity confirmed that Oshiomhole was not seen at the party Secretariat.

“He was not at the party Secretariat today. Let’s see what happens on Monday. Concerned stakeholders are working to resolve the issue and you know, 24 hours is a long time in politics. I believe the issues would be resolved this weekend” he said.

But, can a high court set aside an order or a ruling of another high court? We are watching.
