Speaker of the Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Bamidele Oleyelogun, has been impeached.
He was on Friday impeached alongside his deputy, Rt. Hon. Iroju Ogundeji.
Consequently, Hon. Olamide George and Hon. Abimbola Fajolu have been sworn in as the new speaker and deputy speaker respectively of the house.
Impeachment of the former principal officers was endorsed by 18 members of the house.
Reason(s) for the impeachment of the two officers is/are not known at this time.
