Obasanjo found dead inside the booth of his car

Days after being declared missing, the body of Nigerian student, Obasanjo Adeola Owoyale, has been found in the boot of his car parked in Nicosia schools road, Northern Cyprus.

He was described as a PhD holder in architecture. He graduated from Cyprus International University.

The 33-year old left home on July 1, 2019, and was reported missing. His body was discovered wrapped in a blanket, reported KNews. The first examination at the scene showed that Owoyale had a large wound on his body.

It was not clear whether the Nigerian had a familial connection with Nigeria’s former president, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. On his Facebook profile, he wrote that he was from Ilorin, Kwara state.

His body has been taken to Nicosia Burhan Nalbantoglu State Hospital and the cause of his death will be revealed tomorrow after autopsy. An intensive investigation has also been launched to find out what caused his death.
