Nigeria’s representative at the ongoing Miss World pageant, Nyekachi Douglas, made us proud when she presented her project during the Head-to-Head challenge that took place last week.
The contestants from all around the globe were randomly divided into groups, where they had to compete against each other to secure a direct entry into the top 30.
Nyekachi was placed in group 11, together with representatives from Colombia, Netherlands, Japan, Luxembourg, and Costa Rica where they, like other groups, sat down with the current Miss World Vanessa Ponce de Leon, who questioned them about their ‘beauty with a purpose’ campaigns.
Describing her ‘beauty with a purpose’ project, pursuing the good health and well-being initiative by targeting personal hygiene, Nyejachi touched on the need for children at the Makoko slum community in Lagos State, to get adequate access to a cleaner living and better opportunities.
