Since Tuesday’s alleged massacre of the #EndSARS protesters at Lekki, many prominent Nigerians, opinion leaders and religious organisations have been calling on the Nigerian president, Muhammadu Buhari to speak to Nigerians especially the youths.
The president remained in the cocoon but when violence continued unabated in the cities and towns of Nigeria, he chose to address the nation on Thursday evening.
Nigerians expected so much from the president’s speech but they got so little. Nigerians are therefore disappointed and they showed it in their reactions which they shared on social media.
Having read Nigerians’ reaction to the president’s speech, former Senator, comrade Shehu Sani came out with his own comment. He tweeted: “You ask for speech, you got the speech and now you are speechless”
