 Nigerian man, George Imafidon wins Young Engineer Of The Year Award in UK

A Nigerian man based in the United Kingdom (UK), George Imafidon, has won the Young Engineer Award in the United Kingdom.

Imafidon, a UCL Mechanical Engineering alumnus currently working with Sir Lewis Hamilton’s Team X44 electric racing team was recognised with the award by the Royal Academy of Engineering. 

He was part of the five awardees who won a prestigious award and a £3,000 prize from the Royal Academy of Engineering. 

Celebrating on Twitter, Imafidon wrote: “I WON THE YOUNG ENGINEER OF THE YEAR AWARD!!!

To that little boy in Peckham and all the kids having to overcome countless barriers, please believe in yourself. Know that you’re worthy and capable of achieving your dreams. This award is yours,” he wrote on Twitter.
