28-year-old Nigerian-British lady and travel content creator, Pelumi Nubi driving solo from London to Lagos, has been involved in a car accident after she arrived in Liberia, West Africa.
Pelumi, on Tuesday, via a post on her Instagram page shared a picture of the now-wrecked car she had been using for the trip.
In the video, she was also seen being carried in an ambulance. She accompanied the post with the caption: “Say a prayer for me”.
In November, Pelumi announced her intention to embark on a solo trip from London to Lagos.
The Nigerian lady announced the trip on January 30, and that during the trip, she will traverse 17 countries beginning from England to France, Spain, and then Morocco.
Pelumi will thereafter pass through the West Sahara Desert, Mauritania, Senegal, and Gambia. She will also continue through Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, Mali, Burkina Faso, Ivory Coast, Ghana, Togo, and Benin, before arriving in Lagos.
The development comes nearly two years after Kunle Adeyanju, the Nigerian tourist, rode a bike from London to Lagos.
Pelumi had initially announced that she would arrive in Lagos on March 23.
But, she later said the date had been changed due to border issues she was experiencing in some countries.
She also recently disclosed that she was denied entry at the Sierra Leonian and Liberian borders.
Pelumi is making the trip with a Peugeot 107. The vehicle has been customised with features that will enable space for sleeping and dining.
