An activist in Nigeria, known as Fawaz Alabi, has drowned at a beach in Lagos.
Reports say, he went to the beach on Salah day, April 10, to celebrate with friends but went missing during the outing.
His body was recovered Friday, April 12, on the shores of Ibeshe beach in Lagos.
Around the same time, actor Pope Obumneme Odonwodo, popularly known as Junior Pope, also died during a boat mishap, when he and three crew members fell into the River Niger and got drowned.
Friends have gone on X platform to mourn him.
