The Publisher of the Leadership Newspapers, Mr. Sam Nda- Isaiah, on Thursday said Nigeria was ripe to adopt for his “big ideas” to flourish.
Nda-Isaiah said this while speaking to reporters after paying N25m and obtaining the Presidential nomination form of the All Progressives Congress.
He expressed optimism that if given the chance to emerge as Nigeria’s President in 2015, his big ideas were capable of transforming the country.
He said President Goodluck Jonathan was failing because he was ruling Nigeria, a nation of over 170 million people, with his small ideas.
The APC presidential aspirant also pledged to support the party’s choice of candidate in the event he was not picked. He explained that his aspiration was about nation building and nothing else.
Nda-Isaiah said, “For a country of about 178 million people, the power generation today is between 2,000 and 4,000 megawatts and their own idea is 10,000 megawatts which will never be attained. And a country that is a third our size and second largest economy after us produces 45,000 megawatts.
“Well, I don’t know why our own big idea should be compared to this one. Of course, our party has been talking about unity. We need to unite the whole country to be able to implement these ideas that will transform this country into what it should be.
“And you will agree with me that this is not the kind of country you want to raise your kids in and obviously things cannot continue this way. The country needs a new direction, and by the grace of God, that will happen next year.”
He expressed optimism that the party’s primaries scheduled for December 8 was going to be rancour -free and that whoever emerged would enjoy the support of all other aspirants.

The chairman said all those aspiring for the APC presidential ticket were better equipped to deliver the goods because the ruling Peoples Democratic Party has failed the nation.
