Nigeria’s Super Eagles have knocked out Cameroon, the defending champions from the ongoing African Cup of Nations tournament in Egypt after thrashing them 3 -2 to qualify for quarter-finals.
Nigeria first took the lead in the 28th minutes after Odion Ighalo found the net. But Cameroon later replied with two goals from Stephane Bahoken and Clinton N’Jie in the 41 and 44 minutes.
The comeback goal came in the 63 minutes after Odion Ighalo found the net for the second time before Alex Iwobi then made it 3 – 2 in the 66 minutes.
The Super Eagles will face either Egypt or South Africa in the quarter-finals.
