President Goodluck Jonathan has again chosen his Vice, Namadi Sambo to be his running mate for the February 2015 general elections. The President announced this at the PDP Presidential Convention that held at the Eagles Square, Abuja, some hours ago.
President Jonathan whose nomination only needed to be ratified as PDP’s presidential candidate having won all 2,812 delegates votes at the convention, told party faithfuls in his acceptance speech that he had picked his “tested and loyal” Vice as his running mate.
There were rumors a few months ago of the possibility of Jonathan dropping VP Sambo and picking another person as his running mate but that has been put to rest now. No doubt, there has been great understanding between them in the last four years compared to other regimes.
