National Action Council (NAC) Chairman, Dr. Olapade Agoro, Monday, drew the attention of the United Nations (UN), African Union (AU) and other international bodies to wade in and stop the incessant killings of innocent Nigerians across the country.

Addressing journalists in Ibadan, Monday, over the killings of more than 100 people in Plateau State at the weekend, Agoro declared that Nigeria never had it so bad where over 100 people would be killed within 24 hours in a state.

“On behalf of every right thinking Nigerians, on behalf of the innocent people that have been killed, on behalf of all Nigerians, I am inviting UN, AU and the international community to wade in and intervene over the killings of innocent Nigerians.

“We never had it so bad and terrible in Nigeria, now somebody is saying they want to establish cattle ranching. During Obasanjo, Yaradua, Jonathan, we never saw this kind of killings.

“It is clear that Nigeria is under a siege. We never had it so bad like this where over 100 people will be killed like this. This is worrisome, it is terrible.

“I, Dr. Olapade Agoro, on behalf of every right thinking Nigerians, I say we will oppose the idea of Buhari creating Fulani colony or empire in Nigeria.

“Gentlemen of the press, by inviting you today, I heard it over the radio this morning that over 70 people were killed, now it is over 100, some papers reported 120, we never had it so bad in Nigeria, even during Obasanjo, Yaradua and Jonathan joined together, it was not like this.

“By inviting you today, I am already writing the letter. I am inviting UN, AU and other international organisations to come and intervene.

“They should wade in over the killings of innocent Nigerians. I wrote a letter to UN over the issue of Leah Sharibu that is still in the custody of Boko Haram, they are already acting on the letter, you know how they work. I have written the letter, I will reinforce it again on the killings of innocent Nigerians.

Agoro added that there is a need for all and sundry; legislature, journalists and other concerned Nigerians to rise up and save the nation from total destruction as he called on journalists to continue in setting good agenda for the progress of Nigeria.

He said, “Our President has not seen any reason to condemn the abnormalities. Somebody must rise up and salvage the nation. This is why I am calling on you gentlemen of the press to save the nation from total collapse. APC is a party that has nothing to offer Nigerians than killings of innocent Nigerians.
