Nigeria’s Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has arrested Ladeji Kelvin Babatunde.
He was nabbed after allegedly obtaining over N38,000,000 from suspected internet fraudsters.
Babatunde had boasted that he would prevent their arrest by the commission.
An EFCC statement on Facebook said the defendant posed as an operative to perpetrate the act.
“A four-bedroom uncompleted apartment located at Ikola Road, Alagbado, Lagos, which was developed with the proceeds of the fraud, was recovered from him”, it reads.
According to EFCC, Babatunde will be charged to court after the completion of investigation.
