A Nigerian man has filed a private criminal complaint in an Abuja Chief Magistrate court against Pastor Adeyemi and 49 leaders of #EndSARS protests.
Many of the 49 #EndSARS protests leaders are A-list singers and celebrities. At least 50 people are facing his privately filed criminal complaint for their involvement in the End SARS protests.
The man known as Kenechukwu Okeke, with the Twitter handle @HumanRightsNG, filed the private criminal complaint.
He alleged that his properties were destroyed during the riots “instigated and incited” by the 50 “accused persons” and asked that promoters of the End SARS protests be brought to justice.
Most of the 50 names listed in the suit are celebrities. People like Aisha Yesufu, Pastor Sam Adeyemi, Tuface, Kanu Nwankwo, Davido, Banky W, Uche Jombo, Kiki Mordi, Falz, Yul Edochie, Flavour, Yemi Alade, Peter Okoye, Paul Okoye, Burna Boy, Modupe “Moe” Odele, and more.
The case was instituted on Monday pursuant to sections 88, 109(a), 110(1)(c) of the Administration of Criminal Justice Act, 2015.
Nigerians reacted by slamming the complainant. Some suggested his is a fake account and asked him to file the suit with his real name and account. Others slammed him and said he’s a disgrace to the Igbo community.
