Your excellency,

I want to congratulate you, again, on the affirmation of your election, by the highest court, in the land. It is not just a victory to democracy, it is a victory to civilization; it is a victory to freedom.
Rather than basking in the euphoria of victory, however, please sit back and give thanks to God. Nether you nor any of the politicians around you, gave the victory.
Prior to the June election, you said, during an interview, that you removed your shirt and started rolling on the floor, at the altar of God-do the same now and ask for wisdom, to move on. Achieving success isn’t as difficult as managing success.
Again, you are governor of Ekiti: members of all political parties; good people and bad people, rich people and poor people, everybody. Extend your hands of fellowship, to all-you need more friends, now, than enemies. Politics is over and let it be, till the next four years.
I commend the matured statements made, in your speech, post Supreme Court’s judgement-live them. Forgive whosoever had offended you.
The primary purpose of government is to mobilize the resources of the state, human and material, to combat life challenges-this we haven’t been seeing much, the reason for the anger among the populace, towards governments. This generation of Nigerians can’t stand emperors-we desire a government that would talk to us, with a view to carrying us along, in the scheme of things.
Let me briefly highlight some of the areas calling for urgent attention
(i)Ekiti state is an agrarian state, do everything to ensure that we feed ourselves, at least. Revamp the Agricultural settlement in Orin, Ado and other places, along the model of the Chief Awolowo/Akin Deko era, in the Western Region
(ii) Re-organize our schools so that they can give functional education to our children, so the children can be part of emerging civilization, across the world. Our youths need to be withdrawn from the streets, where politicians abuse them, to be put in schools, thereby combating crimes and improving their lives
(iii) With success in (i) do a blueprint on agro-based industrialization
(iv) Ensure that a viable health care  facility is, sufficiently, close to every citizen, and re-start the ambulance system, which the  Segun Oni’s administration commenced, to complement the network. Look at the possibility of a robust health insurance scheme, for people employed in the informal sector of the economy-some states are doing this.
(v) Less than 10% of our population have access to pipe-borne water-it’s shameful and requires urgent attention, to improve the health profile, of our populace.
Let me acknowledge that paucity of funds might pose a challenge-yes, but the twin incidence of insatiable desires and limited resources define life and its challenges, efficient-management is it, that makes the difference.
Your excellency, I implore you to study the lives and achievements of the following politicians: Chief Awolowo and the LOOBO governors, Chief Bisi Akande, Sir Aminu Kano, Raji Fasola, Rabiu Kwankwaso etc. Their sterling performances are worthy of emulation-they, all, served with the fear of God and left worthy legacies.
Choose your team from among good people, wherever they are, young and agile people who can think fast, even  if from the opposition parties.
Yours sincerely,
William Aborisade
